Let me first remind you this is not the Nokia we used to know. This Nokia is quite different. To know about new Nokia branded device check this link. Nokia – HMD Global
It has 5.5 inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (403 ppi). Gorilla Glass 3 has been used to protect the display. Device comes with two memory variant, 32 GB – 3 GB RAM & 64 GB – 4 GB RAM and both are expandable up to 256 GB. With 16 MP f/2.0 front facing camera it can shoot video at 1080p at 30fps. Selfie camera is 8 MP and it too can record at 1080p. Fingerprint is situated in front with also act as a home button for the device. It is powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset and Android 7.11 Nougat. Device has fast charging capability with 3000 mAh non removable battery. And yes it is VoLTE enabled devices so you could use your JIO sim in it.
Build and Performance
Device has a very good built quality, a sturdy one, exactly what you expect from the Nokia device. It looks very good and handy to hold and use. Device fits perfectly into the user’s hand and just like few other devices it don’t has problem of slipping from user’s hand. Built with single block of aluminum, device has a metal finish, but there are sharp edges because of that which might be disappointing to some of the users.
Android Nougat pre-installed you can be relaxed about the security of your device. OS too feel very smooth and fluent. Device works just fine. There is no heating issue as well. Some stock apps has blue circled icon, whare as few of them are just circle icon. Even Google Play Store and Google Maps has circled icon in this device. Since it is an Android device, at any time you can install new theme and customized it as you want.
I am quite happy with the device performance except one thing, its chipset. Snapdragon 430 is an entry-level processor usually found in the devices lower than Rs 10000. Snapdragon 430 is a good performance processor but this is not what you expect in a 15,000 device. Every other device out there has 600 series of processors in this price range. With Snapdragon 430 device performs very well for regular usage but it may disappoint while use processor expensive task. If you are a gamer and love to play high extensive games like Injustice, then this is not the device you would want.
It is most important part of the smart phone in today’s era. Nokia 6 camera lives up to our standards. Image and video quality is very good and gives a tough fight to its contender during the day light. Device camera didn’t perform well in low light, which was quite disappointing.
Pro – Sturdy Device, Smooth OS experience, Latest Android
Con – Entry level processor, Camera not good for low light photography
